SEND Services
SSG are proud to be an inclusive provider with an acceptance vision for everyone of all needs. With years of experience integrating children and young people with low to moderate levels of SEND into our mainstream projects, we are delighted to have a specific range of projects for our SEND community and its families.

Our ever growing portfolio of activity and active care programme offers access to children across the whole SEND spectrum and for their families too. Our friendly and helpful bookings team are on hand to discuss all needs and work with families, carers, local professionals and our own SSG operational delivery team to find the best ways to provide access to the best projects for the children.
FUN4ALL short break CLub

Our Fun4All club is designed to fill a gap for social clubs for disabled children and young people with special educational needs and disability (SEND). We offer a fun-filled morning of meaningful active play and games in a warm, friendly and safe environment.
SEND club activities include multi-sports, inflatable fun, sensory play, weekly themes, active play, wacky crafts and mad science. As well as providing many benefits to the attendees, this service also provides crucial time off for parents and carers.

- First experience of football
- Low self esteem
- Weight management concerns
- Low level special educational needs
- Barriers to learning and participation
Personalised Activity Programme
Working closely with the local authority social care team, we have developed a very unique individually tailored offer for children and young people with specifically challenging barriers to participation.. The personalised activity programme is a unique fit for purpose programme of activities developed in conjunction with the child’s parents, carers and social worker. They are allocated their own specialised SSG activity leader who will work one on one with the child or young person providing opportunities within physical activity, sport, adventure and/or arts and crafts.
A parent or carer will be required to stay for the sessions to support with pastoral needs and the SSG staff member will provide an end of programme report on progress and development.
Family Fun Swim

SSG provide safe access to a special hydrotherapy (nice and warm) pool for families with a SEND child or young person to come along and enjoy a fun and relaxing swim together. Specialist staff will be both pool side and in the water to support parent and carers. Specialist winch access is available for children and young people who have difficulty with entering and leaving the pool.
Floats and toys are provided to add to the fun for families also. This is a truly wonderful project providing much needed positive opportunity for SEND children and young people who find the water stimulating and relaxing.
Family Fun Days
This project aims provide SEND families in Bedfordshire and beyond a safe place to enjoy as a family. Our activity centre will be transformed into a fun and engaging safe space filled with wonderful activities suitable for children and young people with SEND and their family members.
SSG specialists staff will be on duty to help parents and carers access all of the activities provided. Children and young people (with their parents/carers) can move around the site and its activities freely. SEND children with siblings can come along together to take part in these engaging activities together for a fun family experience. FIND OUT MORE BELOW
