Our Adventure & Challenge Experiences are fully mobile, so there’s none of the hassle of sourcing venue hire or arranging transport.
We offer Bronze, Silver or Gold flexible packages to suit your needs and budget. We’ve got full day and half day options and can cater for large numbers – so if you’re looking for an event for a whole cohort of FE students, talk to us!
What’s more, our experienced and efficient team fully set up equipment, run and pack down the day, so you won’t have to worry about any additional staffing.

These experience days are also an ideal option for intake, taster or transition days, providing an alternative to lectures or seminars, and giving students the opportunity to bond and communicate with their peers, improve their teamworking ability and have a fantastic time.

College Activity Days FAQ
Activities from the ‘set options’ can cater for between 50 and 100 students, based on maximum group sizes of twenty students and minimum group sizes of ten.
Activity days for 100+ students can be booked and we will design a bespoke package day based around one or more of the ‘set option’ activity days.
SSG apply a rotational format to each style of activity day ensuring all the students get the same opportunities to experience all of the activities throughout the day. Each activity day includes five specially designed activity challenges, where participants get scores for their skills and their attitudes, ensuring to ‘be the best’ also means to ‘be your best’.
It is through this focus and philosophy we can encourage the character education aspect of the provision.
All SSG activity day packages are flexible in how they are applied in delivery and we can identify exactly how best to do that through a quick and simple conversation with the college.
All activity days are fully inclusive for all students as activities will be adapted for different ages and abilities, including students with specific and challenging barriers such as SEND, confidence and weight management issues.

College Activity Days are available for sixth forms (Year 12 and Year 13), or FE colleges with students aged 16+.
We also offer Primary School Activity Days and Secondary School Activity Days.
SSG College School Activity Days run for five hours, starting at 9.30am and concluding at 2.30pm inclusive of breaks. We can offer a degree of flexibility to colleges as required to fit around set lunch times etc.
The core objective of all SSG activities is a focus on the positive development and growth of each individual student’s character and value education, which we believe is the foundation to ensuring everyone can achieve their potential.

All of the SSG College Activity Days are fully mobile and can be delivered on college sites, saving the college time and money on travelling and reducing the need for trip paperwork to be completed and approved.
SSG are registered with and abide by all the ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ policy guidance, ensuring you can be fully confident in what we do and how we do it.
Alternatively, if you are looking for an experience that includes taking your students off the college site we can host you at our activity venue in north Bedford. This wonderful woodland site is fully equipped for all of our activity days and offers an exciting environment for visitors.
