Our Employability Pathway programme will provide you with the key skills employers look for when finding the right candidate for a job.
Fast Track 2 Employment
Our Fast Track 2 Employment course supports candidates to develop and enhance key skills identified by employers as being critical for success within the workplace. Pre-employment training sessions cover topics including understanding mindset, critical thinking in the work place, creative thinking strategies, conflict resolution and problem solving. Each Fast Track 2 Employment course will involve a different group of employers providing insight and experiences from their own perspective through providing speakers or visit opportunities as well as interview opportunities for mock and live positions.
In addition to the workshop outcomes, participants will achieve a Certificate in Vocational Studies which is a recognised national qualification and can be added to your CV. Participants will work within a small group of up to 12 like-minded candidates and be led by one of our friendly tutors. As well as employer visits, candidates will spend time participating in practical workshops and challenges to develop the skills and knowledge in the areas of focus.
Job Search Jigsaw
Our Job Search Jigsaw course helps candidates piece together the puzzle that can be the CV, job search, application and interview process. Sessions cover topics including CV development, managing and using of a variety of job search platforms, benefits of networking and volunteering, submission of stand out applications, and simulation of interviews across a variety of different sector types. We aim to provide a whole journey approach to a successful job search.
Participants will work within a small group of up to 12 like-minded candidates and be led by one of our friendly tutors. In addition to the workshop outcomes, participants will achieve an Award in Work Skills, which is a recognised national qualification and can be added to your CV..
Each day on the programme candidates will participate in a variety of workshops, practical activities and simulations and hear from industry speakers in relation to their own expectations and processes to provide an insight into an employer’s view of applications.
Live Smart
Our Live Smart course supports candidates to identify and manage strategies designed to enhance well-being, positive thinking and success. Sessions cover topics including health and exercise, finance management, diet and meal planning, time management and opportunity hunting. Participants are supported to develop personalised strategies and identify how these strategies can be embedded into a sustainable lifestyle.
In addition to the workshop outcomes participants will achieve a Certificate in Personal & Social Development which is a recognised national qualification and can be added to your CV.
Each day provides a mixture of classroom-based working, group activity and practical workshops. All of our provision focuses on an active learning environment to ensure that all candidates not only gain valuable skills but also enjoy taking part.
