SSG SEND CLUBS & Activities
SSG are proud to be an inclusive provider with an acceptance vision for everyone of all needs.
At SSG we have a range of specialist activities, clubs and sessions that have been developed with the SEND community in mind, with our mission of helping people to get active and stay active at the core of our offer.
All of our clubs are about providing children and young people with the opportunity to build their confidence, make friends, and have fun in a safe, supportive and fully inclusive environment. Some sessions are drop off, others require a parent/carer to stay throughout.
We are currently running the following clubs:
Fun4All Short Breaks Club – suitable for 8-18 year olds
Inclusion Youth Club – suitable for 8-14 year olds
Celestials Football Club – suitable for 5-18 year olds
School Holiday Pop Up Family Activity Sessions – mixed ages
We are proud to work in partnership with Bedford Borough Council whom part fund our Fun4All short breaks provision and our youth club for eligible families within the area to access.
We are constantly seeking to expand on and diversify our send activities offer in bedfordshire.
Inclusion Youth Club
Our Inclusion Youth Club is a welcoming and supportive space for children and young people to have fun, make friends, and build confidence!
Each week, participants can enjoy a variety of activities and different themes— from arts and crafts, lego challenges and gaming, to baking, classic board games, and multi-sports. There’s something for everyone to get involved in, whatever their interests.
This is a drop-off session, so parents and carers don’t need to stay.
When: Friday evenings
Timings: 5.30pm-7.30pm
Ages: 8-14 year olds
Suitability: For children with low-level SEND and/or other barriers to participation, such as being shy or finding typical group sessions overwhelming. No formal SEND diagnosis is needed – everyone is welcome.
Venue: The Raleigh Centre, Ampthill Road, Bedford MK42 9HE
Fun4All Short Breaks Club
Our Fun4All Club is thoughtfully designed to provide a warm, friendly and inclusive environment for children and young people to access, who may not be able or willing to access typical social club settings.
As well as providing many benefits to the participants, the club also provide crucial time off and respite for parents and carers.
When: Saturday mornings
Timings: 9.30am-1pm
Ages: 8-18 year olds
Suitability: For children with moderate-severe SEND who may require 1-1 support
Venue: The Raleigh Centre, Ampthill Road, Bedford MK42 9HE
The Activities:
Each week our Fun4All and Youth Club sessions are made up of a mixture of multi-activities which all follow a specially selected theme of the week. Popular themes have included:

SSG Celestials Football Club
SSG Celestials Football Club is a fully inclusive club for children and young people with special educational needs disabilities and/or mental health issues.
We aim to ensure that inclusive football is accessible in a safe and positive environment that parents, carers and players can truly call their own.
Sessions are open to everyone and we do our best to ensure everyone is included as much as is possible through adaptation of activity, space, equipment and outcome.
The sessions are based around simple and enjoyable football activities that get the players moving, developing skills with the ball and having a great time.
When: Sunday mornings
Timings: 10.00am-11.00am
Ages: 5-18 year olds
Suitability: Open to all levels of SEND
Venue: Great Barford Primary Academy, Silver Street, Great Barford MK44 3JU
SEND Family Pop Up Activity Sessions
We are proud to work in partnership with Bedford Borough to offer a varied range of school holiday activities for children and young people with SEND.
Activities will vary from holiday period to holiday period and be specifically selected in line with conditions, venues and most importantly the feedback from our families and colleagues within the Bedford Parent Carer Forum.
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Inclusive SEND Swimming
- Multi Sports
- Multi Activities
- Inflatable Fun

The Staff:
Our dedicated and specially trained delivery teams have a whole wealth of experience and knowledge in working with children and young people with barriers to participation, learning difficulties and special needs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our SEND activities start from age 5 and go up to age 18 depending on the programme.
Our Fun4All Saturday club is part funded by Bedford Borough Council. The price to families is £5.00 per session.
Our Youth Club on Friday evenings is part funded by Bedford Borough Council. The price to families is £2.50 per session.
Our SSG Celestials Football Club has a fee for the season which runs from September-July. The price for the season will vary depending on your child’s start date as it is pro-rated.
Our pop up family activity sessions are fully funded by Bedford Borough Council, there is no charge to families.
