Welcome to our blog! We always have so many exciting things happening here at SSG so want to share some of the highlights with a wider audience. Even in the third national lockdown, we have been keeping busy with lots of projects.
Virtual Sessions
We miss seeing all the families who usually attend our evening & weekend activities so decided to put on a fun ‘virtual session’ for existing customers of our gymnastics & football academies. Our staff loved seeing familiar faces logging in for some fun activities & challenges so that the children can keep practising their skills & working on their fitness until we are allowed to meet in person again.
Primary School Sessions
Schools are not closed and nor are we! Throughout lockdown our staff continue to support local primary schools who have vulnerable & key workers’ children still attending. We deliver our curriculum PE sessions & general wellbeing sessions, allowing teachers time during the working day to plan or deliver online work to those children at home.
There is lots of focus on staying active & looking after mental wellbeing, offering opportunities for ‘downtime’ during the school day & having some fun.
SEND provision

On Saturday mornings, we welcome a number of children & teenagers with additional needs to come & spend a fun morning of activities at our FUN4ALL provision. By carefully adapting our practices, we have been able to keep this open, providing a much needed break for these families, while keeping everyone as safe as possible. We also have our incredible sensory room still available for families to hire on an individual basis. Our staff have all undergone extensive training over the past few months & work extra hard to follow all the Covid-safe procedures in place
