On Wednesday 19th August 2020 SSG hosted a whole company awards evening. There were lots of awards to celebrate and some very worthy nominations.
At SSG we strongly believe in bringing in the best people to join our staff team but recognise the work we do is very specialist and one of the most important factors for working with SSG is having the required experience needed. We offer a comprehensive volunteering programme, which provides opportunity and support for people with the required characteristics and motivations develop the skills to work within our industry. It is for that reason we introduced a very special award for 2020 for our volunteers.
We are very proud to announce that the winner of SSG Volunteer of the Year was awarded to…. Mark Williams!
Mark was referred to SSG Education & Training in November 2019 from Bedford JCP and has progressed through a series of programmes developing his core skills, gaining new qualifications and networking with peers and staff. Mark’s potential was recognised by staff after completing an interview with the management team. Mark expressed interest in wanting to volunteer with SSG and started this role in March 2020. Since then Mark has worked across the company supporting with tutors on training programmes and his support to candidates on Wellbeing Wednesday has been second to none.
Mark has also provided further support across the child care projects during lock down with the activities team. He is an asset to the SSG team and from everyone at SSG, THANK YOU & CONGRATULATIONS.
